The sensational and hilarious all-male dance company, famed for performing in drag and on pointe, brings a glorious program spoofing some of your favorite works! This is a great send-up of 19th-century Russian Ballet as these swans, sylphs, water sprites, romantic princesses, and Victorian ladies perform in the grandeur of the Opera House. These are superb dancers, and through their different strength and bodies bring something really interesting to a traditionally cis-female repertoire. And with an orchestra – no recorded music! On the program:
1. Swan Lake, Act II: Le Lac des Cygnes (Tchaikovsky/Choreography after Ivanov)
2. Le Corsaire Pas De Deux (Drigo/Choreography after Chabukiani)
3. Esmerelda Pas de Six (Pugni/Choreography after Petipa)
4. Don Quixote (Minkus/Choreography after Petipa and Gorsky)
5. plus a few special surprises
with the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra conducted by George Daugherty.
Tickets range from $29-99 –$99 -  the $29 tickets sell out fast. Buy in person to avoid fees, if you can.
Expensive parking at the Kennedy Center, slightly less expensive parking across the street at the Watergate, if lucky might be street parking five or six blocks away, recommend metro - walking distance from Foggy Bottom metro, and there is a free shuttle from the metro to the Kennedy Center.
