For ten years, The Black RoseTM has provided an educational program every Tuesday night ranging from lectures, demos, slideshows, socials, even films. But one learns, it is said, through doing. So recently we have embarked on a series of educational workshops providing attendees the opportunity to actually practice techniques under the supervision of imminently qualified instructors. This curriculum will cover many basic and not so basic scenes. So far we have offered educational sessions and workshops such as Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down; The Art of Consensual Surrender; The Compleat Toybag; Playing in Groups; So You Are in Love with More Than One? Upcoming presentations include The Fun of Erotic Tickling; Building a Scene Family; Protocols and Rituals; Uniforms and Latex Make Hot Scenes; Getting What You Want/Finding What You Need; and Taking Charge of Your Partner's Fantasies. This is a great opportunity to have fun, socialize, and develop your talents. Workshops will be announced as presenters and curriculum are approved. Check the website for updates or attend the Tuesday night meetings for announcements! For additional information, contact Workshops@br.org Board Meetings are open to all contributors to Black RoseTM unless otherwise stated (occasionally there is a need for a closed session). The meetings give Board Members an opportunity to get together and present new ideas or discuss old ones. Board Members talk about what projects they have been working on or what they would like to do. Voting on issues important to the day to day running of Black RoseTM as well as decisions about big events such as BR'99 are handled at this time. Board Meetings also allow an opportunity for contributors to voice their opinions, concerns, and questions in a business setting. Meetings are usually held at least once a month. For more information on location, directions and times, please leave a message on the Black RoseTM voicemail (703-715-6507) or ask at one of the regular Tuesday meetings. Business Meetings are held once a year at a regular Tuesday night meeting. This is an opportunity for the members of Black RoseTM to hear what their Board of Directors have been doing for them and what their vision for the future is. This is your chance to tell the Board what you think, what you want for the future, and if you have ideas on how to achieve those goals please feel free to present those too.
An educational project by and for the Leather Community What if something terrible happened while you were playing with a loved one? Would you know what to do? Black RoseTM, of Washington DC, recognizes the value of CPR/FA for participants in our community and is proud to now offer this valuable and informative class. |
